Mohegan Sun set for $925 million Expansion

Connecticut-based Mohegan Sun, already one of the worlds largest gaming facilities, is about to show the world what a major renovation looks like. This Friday, the first phase of the $925 million Casino of the Wind expansion will be unveiled to the general public. The casino is set to grow 64,000 square feet bigger by adding a 42-table poker room, over 650 slot machines, and 28 table games. It is possible to play free online poker at Mohagun Sun.

"We are very excited to reveal Casino of the Wind to the world," said Mitchell Estess, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun. The Rockwell Group, who have been our architects since the beginning of 1996, have outdone themselves. This may be their best work yet.

2 card Manila ( also known as 7 up poker) is played with a deck of 32 cards, ( what they call la "strip-deck") all cards lower than 7 removed from the deck.

To help celebrate the brand new expansion, Mohegan Sun is hosting a 'Aces Up' poker tournament in their brand new 42-table poker room with a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000. The tournament will begin with preliminary qualifying set for October 1st, with finals being held October 22nd through 26th.
