Poker Pal
Not everyone agrees on how to play Poker but there's one thing all the experts do agree on: if you play the odds in Poker, you will win in the long run! After all, that's how all the casinos make their money day-in day-out. In Poker, you're actually playing against other players and not the casino so you too can ensure that you're playing with the mathematics on your side.
Until recently, to play the odds in Poker, you would have had to have been some kind of mathematical genius to be able to perform all the necessary calculations in your head on-the-fly. That is, until Poker Pal appeared on the scene over 4 years ago.
Poker Pal's main window is the "command center" of the software. This is where you will get the most essential information as you play: your winning chance and your pot odds. These two main pieces of information are expressed graphically as gauges for easy and quick reference. Simply put, if either needle is in the red area of its respective gauge, it's bad!
Also in the main panel is a deck display. As visible cards are dealt out, spent cards are grayed out. You can move the mouse cursor over any card to obtain the probability of obtaining that particular card, a card of that face or any card of that suit. In 7 Card Stud games, you'll notice that all visible board cards of other players are also accounted for.
This calculator covers Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. These features included:
